No wonder we feel like we are failing all the time. i wish i had a great answer, or some amazing bit of wisdom to share. but the truth is, i fight feelings of failure as a mom all the time. as i have worked with more and more families, what i have found is that i am not alone. some of the most engaged, dynamic, wonderful parents feel exactly. If you homeschool, you know the dedication it takes to do it each day. homeschooling can be hard, it takes discipline, patience, and is hard work. you might run into a week where your child doesn’t want to listen, or you feel like you aren’t getting anywhere. this post is for any mom out there who has felt or is feeling like you are not enough. So, to all the moms who feel like a failure. let’s keep going. let’s show repentance and penance and let’s show redemption. let’s let our children see us lean into our faith when we struggle. most saints are made, not born that way. our little future saints need examples to follow, not only in the great saints of the church. Homeschool moms are used to having all kinds of questions and comments thrown at them from total strangers to well meaning friends and family. deep down, all homeschool moms want the same treatment that public school moms enjoy. every homeschool mom wishes you would stop asking loaded questions about their decision to homeschool. As we embark on our homeschool journey’s, many homeschool moms fool ourselves into believing things that quite frankly just aren’t true. here are three lies homeschool moms believe that is just downright foolish. homeschool moms, i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but some days you (and me) are a fool.
